SK V&A Waterfront mall

On Sunday, as we do nearly every Sunday for the last year, attended tour Waterfront. Despite the slotted time already commencing, the cinema was packed with several lines leading to seats, snacks etc. To be proactive my family and I booked tickets online and snacks at the self help desk so we may lend a hand to the busy staff.

Clearly this was no help as I had to repeat each order to the staff member who was clearly annoyed at the bustle of the day! I get that but you’re at work… I then tell her my 3rd order and as I am speaking she yells as another staff member to bring more cups and fill something… I repeat the order again and she does not acknowledge me and carries on, I say crème soda and proceed to check on my son in the queue to enter the cinema. Again, usually this is not packed but there was a delay and being in lines simultaneously seemed best to do to avoid the start of the movie… I return and she has added a coke, I proceed to tell her I said crème soda, she argues with me in a manner that did not want me to even consider accepting the wrong soda!! I already spent extra timing making my selection at the self help desk, she says she cannot see this… HOW SHOULD I KNOW THAT?? So I can just pay any amount at the back and tell you what to scoop up and you do it 🤔🤔🤔At this point I am fuming as she is screaming at me but not to me, telling my husband I never told her causing a scene which honestly was not needed. She then gets the crème soda after a colleague tells her to stop. Queue is still quite long and someone will scoop that coke in seconds, she refused to help and proceeds to ignore me and only speak to my husband!! I paid for this and she just completely ignored me and speaks in her language under her breath!! I was so shocked, Waterfront!!! Never ever!!! Usually there is a cheerful bunch, much less staff but so helpful. One of them is called Liam and is always helpful, with the minion movie I forgot 3d glasses and he reminded me before entering the cinema, what a save!! Same with the dude with the big hair always polite, fast and helpful!! This one Siyanda, il attach the badge should not be working at a front desk. She should be at the back or helping in the dark with movie or something but not customer facing please!! Doubt I will be setting my foot here again as your own money is dictated by SK staff calling you a ****!!!
