Poor service musgrave durban

I have 2 daughters aged 6 (Ava) & 3. Ava has coeliac disease (google it please). About 2 months ago we visited Musgrave centre and I enquired about the popcorn & slush puppy being gluten free. The manager was quite friendly and even tried googling it as he was unsure. Because we were quite rushed and the staff were unaware about their products, I assumed (big mistake) that it was safe. Long story short is that Ava became very sick which ultimately told me that your popcorn and or slush puppy is not gluten free.

Today we revisited to watch angry birds 2. The kids were very excited. I thought that i would do the noble thing and inform the same manager (he didn't remember me) that Ava got terribly sick from our last visit and that I will buy a combo for my 3 year old who does not have coeliac but Ava has fruit, gluten free chips & honey water packed in my bag. He responded by saying that he can't allow special treatment to her and that I must read the sign! I was blown away. Ava has already developed anxiety about her disease (she's 6!) and about eating/drinking stuff that can ultimately **** her so to have an adult be so belittling & insulting was really sickening. To prevent embarrassing my daughter, all I responded with was, "no special treatment for a kid with a disease?!).

Please educate yourselves because not all of your customers are "normal". Some persons especially kids may need "special treatment". I get that the manager was being a robot & following the rules so I guess it ultimately means that the rules need to be reevaluated!
