NO AIRCONDITIONING AT ROSEBANK CINEMA NOUVEAU

Shocking experience - yet again - at Rosebank Cinema Nouveau on Sunday 24 March 2019. Absolutely no airconditioning in Cinema 1 for the Bolshoi Ballet movie La Bayadere! Everyone around us complained. We went twice to the manageress to complain and saw her after the show and complained bitterly yet again. She explained she did try to rectify the situation but the aircon comes from the shopping centre itself as a whole and not the cinema section. I don't care where it comes from.! There was none! The situation was utterly unacceptable and I was dozing throughout the movie - R300 for two seats! There are times when it is too cold in that cinema and others but that is preferable to the heat! How can patrons be expected to sit in that non-airconditioned cinema! I would expect a refund and I am definitely now not booking for the remainder of the season of the ballets and operas. We cannot go through this again! The entire cinema complex has deteriorated for some years - not even a sign outside each cinema to indicate what is showing there! Prices increase all the time and as for popcorn and other snacks prices - we don't touch those!
