No Aircon @ Newtown Junction even after asking for it to be switched on

On the 17th December 2018, I went to Ster-Kinekor Newtown Junction with 4 of my family members to watch the Aqua Man movie at 14:30.

It was my first time at this cinema as it was the only mall close to me that was showing the movie in 2D. When entering cinema 4 the place was very hot inside, my family member went to one of the staff and asked them to please switch on the air conditioner as it was uncomfortable and stuffy inside.

The staff member responded saying the aircon is on and takes time to cool down the room. I found this very strange as the aircon was suppose to be running way before the movie started. We ended up watching a 2 hour and 30 minute movie with no aircon on, it was so hot I could hardly focus on the movie, people were fanning their faces in the movie. I even wanted to take my t-shirt off the way it was so hot.

It was not a nice experience for my family and I, especially after asking for the aircon to be switched on, nothing was done. Movies is not a cheap outing and one would expect a pleasant experience. Good service is hard to come by these days and it is disappointing that the Newtown Junction didn't provide a good experience. I paid good money and I would like to be compensated for this bad experience.
