Load shedding cancelled IMAX show - chaos ensues

5 of us drove out to the Grove to see Mad Max in IMAX. It's a long way away but we all thought it would be worth it. We paid R110 for each ticket. Not cheap. The trailers start to play, we have paid for parking and popcorn and are waiting for the movie. Suddenly at 8pom exactly, power goes off and that's that. <br> <br> Eventually someone comes and says, sorry no movie \load shedding". We couldn't get a refund only a stamped ticket valid for another show - except our show is no longer showing at IMAX. This was the last show.<br> <br> There were hundreds of people waiting for refunds. It was chaos and everyone was angry. The staff were resigned and seemingly powerless to help.<br> <br> 1. Why did they sell us the tickets if load shedding was planned? They knew this would happen.<br> 2. How can a cinema not have a generator?? Especially an IMAX? I will not be planning any more trip to the movies if my whole evening can be ruined by load shedding"
