Ladies only!!!

To whom it may concern I wanted to let you know about “TWO” poor experiences I had with Sterkinekor. Firstly I booked 2 x Prestige Theatre ticket on the 23rd May for the 20th June my Wedding Anniversary!!! I was all set, the week leading up to the night there was radio adverti*****ts advertising “Girlfriends Getaway” for the 20th June When booking the tickets there was no indication of this. I have booked numerous girls nites out, so am fami**** of this. Just to be safe I called your ticket line and queried this on the day. I was told in no uncertain terms that my husband could not attend the show as he was not a “Diva” The only thing that I could do was have the tickets refunded………………I was very disappointed as it was my surprise gift for my husband. I had booked for the movie “Book Club” 28th June for myself and some friends, which had been advertised as a Girlfriends Getaway and I haven’t know Sterkinekor to host two Girlfriends Getaways in one month When we arrived for Book Club we were told that there was an error and it wasn’t a Girlfriends Getaway event.

This is where it gets interesting……………….. As I mentioned I frequent the movies quiet often, I booked for 8 ladies to come to the Girlfriends Getaway screening of Mama Mia in your Prestige theatre We were welcomed with snacks and drinks and the evening started off fine. Then it was time to go to our seats, you can imagine my surprise when we were joined by 4 gentleman in the cinema, each carry a plate of snacks and having received a “Goodie Bag” I went to the manager’s office and spoke to a gentleman who assured me that it is ladies only and no men allowed. The person to speak to was Pam (Eastgate branch) I found Pam in the Prestige Cinema lounge and asked her if it was correct that men are allowed to watch the show. Her response was that she is handling the matter and was waiting for “Gift” (I’m not sure if I got his name correct) to come to assist her. Pam was standing with another lady who was handing out the Goodie bags and they both laughed and spoke in their native language as I walked away, which I find to be most disrespectful I sat in by seat and waited while they did the spot prizes and to my surprise nothing was done. The 4 gentleman who were not all from the same party were left alone to watch the movie. I feel I was made an example of and my evening ruined!! I am all for standing by your ruling by all means but not to enforce it only when it suits one. It has left a bad taste in my mouth and I think I will support Nu metro from now on or most certainly stay away from your Eastgate branch!!!
