Insect found in my slushy at Ster-Kinekor Fourways Mall

On 18/10/2026, I bought a medium slushy from the candy bar at Ster-Kinekor Fourways Mall. About halfway through the drink, I felt something crunchy in my mouth. When I took it out, it was a black insect.

I was disgusted and very disappointed. Finding an insect in a drink you've already been drinking is unacceptable. It makes me question how the slushy machines and ingredients at this branch are cleaned and handled.

I have emailed Ster-Kinekor to report this, and I'm sharing it here so other customers are aware. I hope management takes this seriously, inspects the machines and puts proper hygiene measures in place. Until then, I won't be buying drinks from this candy bar
