DO NOT GO TO STER-KINEKOR IF YOU WANT TO WATCH MOVIES

Online Booking Service is absolutely terrible.

On the 4th of January 2019, I booked tickets with Ster-Kinekor and received numerous errors while processing payments to Ster Kinekor which resulted in having taken money off my account without providing me with the tickets for the movie show.

I then contacted their customer help line which is always busy or "out-of-service", when I finally get through, I request for some feedback, but recently, they just have not even bothered to get back to me.

When I do contact via email, they continually prompt me for my card details and I keep having to repeat myself by explaining the same story about what has happened time and time again.

What a waste of time, their IT systems work intermittently and just cause so much issues rather than saving you time by pre-booking.

Ster-Kinekor: In 2016, the South African cinema company Ster-Kinekor had a security flaw which leaked a large amount of customer data via an enumeration vulnerability in the API of their old website. Whilst more than 6 million accounts were leaked by the flaw, the exposed data only contained 1.6 million unique email addresses. The data also included extensive personal information such as names, addresses, birthdates, genders and plain text passwords. Compromised data: Dates of birth, Email addresses, Genders, Names, Passwords, Phone numbers, Physical addresses, Spoken languages
