DIRTY CINEMAS & BATHROOMS
Just wanted to share my experience at the movies for the 1st time in 9 years.
I was so excited just like I was as a kid.
We got there early before the cinemas had opened and bought our tickets. We patiently waited and ate some brekkie. We booked the first movie for the day which showed at 10:30am..
We were in Cape Town on holiday for the first time expecting the cinemas to be amazing but instead we were really saddened at the condition of the cinema.
My seat was broken and dirty. There were marks on the walls and sticky dirty floors. We don't often go to the movies as it's not something we can always afford.
Knowing that we were the first in the cinema it was sad to see that it had not been cleaned and the images show the lack of maintenance but the worst part was after my movie going into a dirty toilet.
It was just uncomfortable and made me not want to go back. It's heartbreaking because I've never seen it like that. I've never felt uncomfortable in my cenima chair because it feels dirty. These days with covid I feel the bare minimum atleast should be done to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
Movies have always been about the experience and the the atmosphere.
