Cannot use SK Vitality and SK loyalty together

My partner has a vitality membership with Ster Kinekor and I have the normal SK loyalty card. We were told today that we cannot use both our loyalty cards at once. So he gets a discount and I do not get my SK points as we can only swipe one card per movie we book. This means if I want my points I have to book my ticket separately from his. Who books separate tickets for movie night????? Rather disappointing.
