Bad service is the norm at SK blue route

Yesterday, Tuesday 3 Oct I went to see the movie Lego Ninjago at 11:30am with my child and his friend. As I already know the blue route sk cinema is particularly bad when it comes to service I made sure we were there at about 11am to buy eats. When I joined the confectionery queue it was about 11:10am, and there was about 6 or 7 people before me. As usual, even though this is in the school holidays, there were only 3 of the tills open. I’ve never seen more than 3 tills open in all the years I’ve been going to the blue route cinema. In any case, even though there were only about 6 or 7 people in front of me with 3 tills open, by the time I got to the front it was already about 11:30am (15/20 minutes later). At this point I was informed that there are no more junior combo’s available because they don’t have any more stock of astros/smarties/etc. for this combo – keep in mind this is 11:30am on a Tuesday in the middle of the school holidays. You would think this is the first school holidays that ster kinekor blue route handled because there is no extra staff, and there is no stock management. Of course it is also very convenient that they are out of stock of these items since now I had to pay extra for more expensive items. Ster kinekor has a policy of not allowing outside food or drink into the cinema, however with this policy you should at least make sure that you have enough items in stock and not run out at 11:30am in the morning. By the time I left the queue the movie already started, even though I was there early, and there must have been more than 20 people behind me – good luck to them, at least they have a slim chance of seeing the second half of their movie. If this bad service was a once-off occurrence, I wouldn’t have said anything, however this is the norm at the blue route cinema. My only consolation is the fact that they are losing out on all the people that leave the queues because they would rather not miss their movie, and those who unlike me don’t bother to return.
