Bad Service and Poor Management

A group of friends and I decided to watch The Imitation Game at the Ster-Kinekor Nouveau. We booked for the 5pm show with no hassle an hour earlier. We had sat down and started watching the movie. We were then interrupted by a woman speaking very loudly over a microphone who was assumed to be the host of an event. The event was directly outside our cinema. After 10 mins, of this interruption, I decided to speak to a manager. Both managers were standing side by side, and I told my complaint. Without any feedback, one manager walked away. I found this extremely rude. She later returned saying she can refund us or give a complimentary ticket. I had returned to the movie and friends with disappointing news. The music and general noise had continued for 60% of the total movie runtime. My grievance lays with the bad management skills of the staff. Tickets should not have not have been sold if an event was scheduled. I was highly irritated to be told I must sit through the noise. You have ruined a brilliant movie for me. Your customer service and conflict resolution is pathetic. Your primary service is to provide customers an enjoyable experience. I am not a happy customer.
