Bad Attitude + Deception of club card

I took my kids to the cinema on Tuesday at north gate branch to watch Daddy's home. We arrived late with only moments to spare. Using our club cards we were told that 3 of our cards had expired and that we needed to buy replacements for R42. Not to disappoint my kids I agreed but requested they be allowed in while I pay and transfer our details to the new cards. The manager refused. My concerns are 2 fold - firstly the bad arrogant attitude of the manager and secondly the fact that the club application card never highlighted the fact that the club cards expire and need to be replaced at a cost. I think this is deceptive advertising and is the only clubcard that needs to be replaced due to an expiry date. I can understand replacing lost cards but cards that expire? I have a SAA Voyager miles card that is about 10 years old and never needed replacing? As a film producer this kind of barriers to entry is the last thing we need in the local industry. We were never informed of the need to replace the card and its terms and conditions and therefore our consumer rights have been transgressed. I want clarity on this before I take this up with the CPA. Looking forward to your response
