Appalling management of load shedding

The lights went out in the cinema at 6 o'clock yesterday evening No Ster Kenekor employee appeared with a torch to explain that it was load shedding and to provide a little light Eventually the patrons used their cell phones to stumble up the stairs into an equally dark foyer No candles, no employees with even just one torch between them We realised from conversations around us that the procedure was to find somebody to sign our tickets so that, presumably, we could return at some later date This was clearly a problem in the gloom Load shedding is an almost daily occurrence in South Africa and I am surprised that the management of Ster Kenekor Brooklyn has clearly made no effort to address the problem
