Apathetic and unhelpful staff regarding theft (Cresta)

<p>During the course of Sunday, 6th November, my wife and her friend took my son and her son to go and watch a movie at the new Cresta movie house. While standing in the queue to buy refreshments, my wife's friend separated to go and buy the movie tickets. At this point in time my wife was blatantly pick pocketed and her cell-phone was ****** from her bag, in plain sight (especially to that of the ladies serving my wife). While my wife was being asked pointless questions (such as if she is sure she wants a cherry flavoured slush puppy, repeatedly) the *****s made two attemps at *****ing her phone. On the second attempt they got the phone. When my wife realised soon after, she let the lady serving her know, who then stared back at my wife for a point in time before going to speak to a colleague privately. They then pointed at a office, suggesting, my wife and her friend (who rejoined her) to an office.</p> <p> </p> <p>When my wife and friend entered the office, the manager couldn't even be bothered to stand up to greet them. When the detail of the theft was mentioned to the manager he explained that he doesn't have access to the video cameras and that he can only make a request to the IT department in Sandton. He was, as well as any other Ster-Kinekor staff member, exceptionally reluctant to help my wife. No-one could even think to advise to tell my wife to speak to centre security. Upset, she returned home at which point I went to Cresta.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I spoke to the manager, he came over to greet me. I told him I wanted to see the footage and he told me the same story; still no reply from the IT department at this stage with regads to the footage. I left my cell phone number and email address and told him to contact me the moment he or any other manager received a response. (Over 2 days later and I am still waiting).</p> <p> </p> <p>I decided to go to Cresta centre security who were unbelievably helpful. This is where I managed to not only see the security footage from the centre's well placed cameras, but also receive excellent feedback from the security staff and manager from Popo Security.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have my suspicions regarding the staff at Ster-kinekor.</p> <p> </p> <p>STER-KINEKOR, I SHALL NOT, NOR ANY MEMBER OF MY FAMILY, VISIT A STER-KINEKOR BRANCH EVER AGAIN. NU-METRO CAN BENEFIT FROM YOUR SHOCKING SERVICE.</p> <p> </p> <p>STER-KINEKOR, I am disgusted by this entire situation and will continue to let the many people I know at how displeased and truly apalled I am with you.</p> <p>All I can say is thank God this wasn't a child abduction!</p>
