Almost assaulted in the popcorn que

After a long week my fiance decided to enjoy Friday evening at the movies. However our night was ruined due to a popcorn line incident. Firstly the ques were extremely long. We got into a que at 8pm , were waiting for quite some time. The line next to us was empty as it was an exit que. After 20 min a group of people arrived and stood in the exit cue hence cutting the que! since they started a whole new que of people formed and the rest of us who were waiting were forced to wait even longer... I then decided to explain to the que cutters the situation when one of the guys decided to physically assault my fiance?! I just managed to get in between. The staff at the counter seemed oblivious to the situation and continued to serve whomever. I'm placing this complaint because some order needs to be in the ques with staff or security. Crowd control please! We are forced to buy popcorn from the movies and forced to wait in long ques can it at least be done properly and peacefully. I complained to the manager who offered a discount on our popcorn however we lost our slip so didn't receive it. I'm placing this in the hopes things will change with regard to order especially when it is busy.
