Age Restrictions don't matter

Dear Ster-Kinekor,

As a frequent movie goer, with your cinemas being my cinema of choice, I would like to let you know how disgusted i am by the information that I was provided with at your The Zone @ Rosebank branch.

on 3 November, I went to watch The Joker. Being a 16L rated film, I was highly disturbed when a family walked in with a little girl, who could have been no older than 7 years old. The parents proceeded to give her a cellphone to play with, with volume up, during the movie. When I went to report her presence in the cinema to management, I was told that as long as the guardians had signed a permission form, children of any age are allowed into any movie.

This is ******* and utterly unacceptable. These movies are rated by a regulated board and age restrictions are set for a reason. If this is truly your practice, then I am appalled and will be taking my business elsewhere. If this is the practice of your management staf in Rosebank, then I suggest that a serious review is done because children should not be exposed to films outside of their age restrictions.

Please assist as this is very serious and should not be taken lightly.
