Wacky Wednesday at Steers Malvern in Durban
Steers Malvern (Durban) is usually my favorite Steers. The staff are always friendly and efficient and the service is very good.
Today I was so disappointed with the service that I received. We placed a telephone order for collection, and when I arrived to fetch it the queue was extremely long. The point of placing a telephone order is to avoid waiting in long queues behind people who are still deciding what to order.
Please consider having a collection line so that people who place telephone orders can walk in and out.
I was ignored when I stated that I placed a telephone order and I asked if I had to wait in the queue. I just left it and waited my turn. It was very busy and I didn't want to offend anyone.
Your staff at this branch are usually very friendly and helpful. I have never been ignored before at this branch. I am a very regular customer, sometimes once or twice a week.
Your cashier Nelly at this branch is very rude, unfriendly and impolite. She does not greet customers. Just says next and asks what is your order. She's new at this branch. I've not seen her often, maybe 2 or 3 times and like I've said, I'm very regular at Steers. Every time I interact with her, her attitude is terrible. Please send her for a training course on customer service and how to interact with people when you are in this field of work.
Please also ensure that the management on duty is able to work efficiently under the pressure of wacky Wednesday. Orders were getting mixed up and people were getting frustrated. This is not usually the service we receive at Malvern Steers. We expect more.
Please look into what has changed at this branch and fix it. The recent inefficiency is frustrating.
