Unprofessional staff at Steers Estcourt

I had a very disappointing experience with Steers Estcourt today. I placed an order, and what was delivered to me was completely incorrect. I immediately contacted the call centre, and they assured me that the store manager would get in touch with me. Shortly after, I received a call from ***. The woman on the line didn’t even introduce herself professionally—instead, she simply said, “Yebo, I got a call from the call centre saying you didn’t receive your order. Did you not receive it?” I explained that I did receive an order, but it was the wrong one, and asked if she was comparing what I had ordered to what the driver returned with. It was obvious the mistake came from their side, yet she abruptly hung up on me mid-conversation.

To make matters worse, the delivery driver said it wasn’t his fault and that he simply delivered what the store gave him. This raises serious concerns about the store’s internal controls. Don’t the drivers verify orders before leaving the premises? Basic quality checks seem to be missing. Now, my lunch which was supposed to be delivered on time still hasn’t arrived, and it’s well past 1:00 PM. This level of service is unacceptable. Until the staff at this branch are properly trained and customer service improves, I’ll be warning others to avoid Steers Estcourt. Customers deserve better than this.
