Steers Pavilion Pathetic
I went to Steers in Pavilion to buy dinner for my family. I ordered 6 meals and 1 large chips. the man at the counter told me 8 to 10 minutes before I get my meal. I chose to wait close to the counter for my meal as I was in a hurry. I notice a large chip on the serving counter from the time I got there. 15 minutes later I was still waiting for my meals. So I checked with the lady and she said she is waiting for one more burger she then turned to the lady behind the counter and said something to her in Zulu. Then I noticed the lady takes the chips that have been now siting out there for about 20 minutes fills hot chips in top it and presses it down with her fingers and hands it over to the lady in front to put into my bag with my meals. This is absolutely ridiculous and I said to the lady I refuse to take the chips and what gives her the right with our current COVID issues for her to touch my chips with her bare hands. I asked for the manager and Thabisile the lady serving me says she is the manager and she apologies and said she will make me a new meal. But the problem is they will continue doing this to other customers. You would think that with current COVID conditions the food service industry would ensure things like this don't happen and that they would inform staff to be more conscious when serving food but clearly this is not something Steers cares about. I will never buy food at this store again. The correct action for that manager is to take action against this individual to set and example for the rest of the team to ensure this behavior does not happen again. But I know better.
