Steers old chicken

Just bought a full chicken and large chips from Steers in Kokstad. As it was a takeaway, I got to my B&B 5min later. Starved, I dug into the chips which was half fried/cooked. I then took 2 pieces and the white meat was as tuff as a day old fried chicken. I am convinced that this chicken must have been an old older for someone who didn’t collect and then just reheated and given to me.

Steers chicken is normally very succulent but this just put me off Steers
