I hate writing these things but it seems like I have to write this. I have not bought from Debonairs in years ever since my two experiences of ordering and paying online only to see my order not arrive at all. Once in Makhanda and once in Celtis Ridge. This time my son wanted some Steers and despite my sharing of experiences my wife eventually convinced me to buy only this once, a mistake I shall not repeat.

So this time I thought, let me choose Steers Raslouw, a shop 0.7km away from my house. I ordered and paid online in hopes that they will fulfil their end of the bargain and deliver my food.

Now as I write this it has been an hour and a half and all I have received for the money I have paid is an SMS stating that my order has arrived.

Upon calling the store, I ask about the rest of my order as I have only received an SMS saying that the order has arrived. So I wondered if I have been again ****med by Famous Brands.

The lady who answered told me that the order is on its way. So I waited for 15 minutes more only to receive a call later from Alfred the Steers driver saying that I must come to collect my food from him at the complex gate. So I ask him if I should leave my house and walk to the gate in this thunderstorm that has currently befallen us? And he calmly says "Sorry, I forgot my licence."
