No more 10cents coins at Steers
Good day. On Sunday 14 June we bought ice creams at the Wild Coast Sun Steers and the total came to R33.70. I paid with R50 and only received R 16 change, no R 16.30, without the cashier saying anything. I decided to leave it at that. About a month ago we bought food at Steers Forest Hill City Mall and there I was also shortchanged 20 cents, without the cashier saying anything. I can only conclude that Steers no longer wants to provide 10 cent coins for their change to customers. If in 1 month I was short changed 50 cents, which is not a lot of money, but if the cashier works 20 days a month and serves 100 customers than 20 * 100 * 50 cents = R 1000 extra cash in the till drawer or extra in the cashier's pocket??? Maybe this is how your cashiers supplement their income by short-changing customers...
