Food ordered for delivery that never arrived

I'm so appalled by the level of service delivered by Steers(Sarnia to be specific). This evening at approximately 6pm I had called in and ordered for delivery, the operator ensured that the turn around time would be 40 to 45minutes, by 6.11pm I received confirmation of our order and trusted everything was in order, by 7.30pm we had called in to follow up on our order and the operator then told us that as a result of high call and order volumes that it would take 90mins instead of 45mins, by 8pm we had tried calling over four times with no answer or correspondence regarding the where abouts of our order placed at 6pm, now as a result of kirfue being at 9pm we had to make alternate arrangements and quickly drive to Macdonalds to get supper we initially planned on having two hours earlier. By the time we got back home there was still no answer or correspondence regarding what had happened, as a matter of fact still even now we have no idea what happened or why the store couldn't inform us of what happened, this caused a severe inconvenience this evening and I am completely disappointed in the level of customer service, I wouldn't recommend Steers for delivery.
