False Advertising & **************** - STEERS PINESLOPES
FALSE ADVERTISING! ****************
I google STEERS PINESLOPES and immediately the menu popped up. I saw the Cheeseboy Sharing Meal advertised for R189.90 and add a 1LT of Coke at R24.90.
I called STEERS PINESLOPES and placed the order. Right after I placed the order with Musi/Vusi I received a sms stating that the amount I need to pay when collecting is R249.90.
Now, the last time I attended school, R189.90 plus R24.90 equals R214.80.
When I arrived at STEERS PINESLOPES I informed Musi/Vusi that the amount is incorrect. She then, with an attitude told me that she doesn't know why it is different. So I told her that the amount advertised (without any fine print on the advertising) for the Cheeseboy and Coke should be R214.80 and that is what I need to pay. She then said if you order online the price is different.
I asked her but how is that possible! How can you advertise on social media and on your website a price and when you order via phone you pay extra. She then said she doesn't know and I need to complain with Head Office.
I am sorry, but the lady is totally ***********.
As I got home and studied the slip, I realised that the amount on the cash slip is as follows;
Steers Pineslopes order number 352 Total excluding VAT - R217.30 (again different from the R214.80) (2.05 difference) VAT Included - R32.60 (15% VAT) Total R249.90
So, nowhere on your advertising your have fine print stating the the price advertised is excl VAT! FALSE ADVERTISING!
According to my calculations, I was supposed to pay R214.80 as per what was advertised.
Please explain!
