DISGUSTING SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH

I placed an order with Steers Oxford Village in Hillcrest at 5:25 p.m. When I received the confirmation of the order that I placed, I realised that I had not marked it for delivery but rather for collection. I called the branch immediately to rectify my mistake. The first phone call was put through to the "manager" who was an answering machine. I left a message. The second call was put directly through to the very same answering machine!!! The third call I spoke to a very rude, abrupt young lady and explained my problem to her. It then took me approximately 10 minutes for her to write down my delivery address!!! I specifically asked her how long the order would take and she said 35 to 40 minutes. After waiting almost 90 minutes for my delivery, my son then called Steers and inquired where our order was. He was put on hold!!! He then called back to enquire where our order was and at the same time I received a call from Steers asking why I had not collected my order as yet!!! Well, I lost it. The person who called me back could not hear me properly because of the noise on HER end of the line. It had nothing to do with my line!! She decided to call me back in the hope of her being able to hear me correctly. She called me back and proceeded to argue with the fact that the order has been placed for collection and not delivery!!! Bearing in mind this time she could apparently hear me perfectly!! I cancelled the order and requested a refund of my money. I have just received a phone call from a young gentleman at Steers who thought that he should further try to justify the reason Steers had not delivered to me!! He would not hear what I had to say. I have already sent an email through to head office requesting that I not be contacted because this is the second time that Steers has made a royal mess up!! The first time I ordered online for delivery out order was delivered 2 hours later and the entire order was incorrect!! I received all the excuses and all the apologies and all the justifications which as a first-time complainer I accepted. I didn't accept the offer of a voucher as I simply was not going to eat from Steers again (and what makes them think that a voucher would solve their disgusting service problems??) This time they were given a second chance and when I phoned to give them my delivery address I explained to the young lady (whose name I didn't get) that the order must please be perfect because I'd had a bad experience with Steers in the past and I didn't want it repeated. Well guess what Steers!! What really astounds me is the fact that all the Steers staff think that they should justify the reasons for the disgusting service!! They will not let a customer talk or explain or for that matter even apologize to the customer. All they are interested in is telling you that you were wrong and they are right! Is that customer service? Is this what we have to put up with?? Absolutely not!! I will Name and Shame Steers until my dying day.
