Cashiers also need People Skills

Bought the Wacky Wednesday special on the 14th October at the 24 hour Steers in Hatfield. We weren't allowed to sit inside. Dineo told us that sit-ins close at 18:00 (it was 22:48). About 3 weeks before I had sat inside after 18:00-Please may I get clarity on your sit-in policy at this 24 hour Steers. We sat on the steps of the car showroom across the branch. Only 1 drink was ordered but she billed my card for two. Mistakes happen-granted. When I told her we ordered one drink she dug into the till and took out a refund and slammed it onto the counter. I then suggested that in future she should apologize first if she makes a blunder rather than handling herself in this way-big mistake!. This sparked a debate about what I had said vs what she had heard. She was adamant I had ordered two drinks (even though I hadn't). Please may you train your staff to handle disputes courteously, a foul attitude is unnecessary for such a petty and common error. May I also suggest that you put up some signage declaring your sit-in times.
