Bad Food and Bad Service

I was horrified by the service rendered at Streers Colesberg. To cut a long story short. I was driving with my wife, daughter and mother in law from JHB to CPT, so we stopped to stretch our legs. Since my wife is pregnant and has been having morning sickness and rediculous cravings, she started craving for their chips and cones. My daughter accompanied me just for her mother to suggest we sit down and have a proper meal cause then we dont have to stop in the next town and just drive straight to CPT.

So after sitting down and deciding what to buy, we decided on the Full Chicken and large chips and Stoney. I specifically told the waiter to cut the chicken in 8 and also bring 3 extra plates , Oh and we wanted the Lemon and Herb flavour. "LORD HAVE MERCY" the waiter came back with the chicken.... Ice Cold and with no plates. I tell her about the chicken being cold, she just takes the chicken from the table and leaves..No apology no nothing. She brings the chicken back places the chicken on the table and leaves. i call her and asks her for the chips and extra plates..she calls another waiter " Bring daai chips en 3 borde vir die mense" I am bilingual and fluent in 6 languages..Afrikaans being my mother tongue..but because i am black she thought i didnt understand Afrikaans.

Because i didnt want to make an issue and stress my pregnant wife out..i decided to stay calm and not allow this situation to mess up our journey. Just from two bites into the chicken, i start to tell my wife that something is just not right about the chicken cause after swallowing it..i just started not feeling well..and my wife has been telling me that something is not right about the chicken cause it seems red/pink and black inside. thinking because she is pregnant she might be exaggerating. we paid without finishing our meals..cause by then i was just fed up with everything.

As soon as i got home, my stomach started paining and my wifes tummy started running and this of my daughter and mother in law..Note the last time we Ate was at Streers in Colesberg. How convenient is it that all of us suffer from the same sickness. I am of the opinion that the chicken and the sauce they gave us was not fresh. If anything was to have happened to my wife and my unborn child...i was going to sue Steers for everything they have and the owner of that Franchise. No wonder the staff at that Steers was looking and smilling at us..cause finally these stupid black people paid alot of money to be giving out dated chicken. It took me ****** two days to recover.
