Awful experience at Steers Florida Junction

To whom it may concern

I went to the Steers at Florida Junction today - purchased a Wacky Wednesday special - order 105 / invoice number - 864464.

Being on my lunch break and literally not having much time to spare I was rather annoyed at the cashier. He served a lady prior to me, she had ordered two icecream cones. I am willing to accept as per the store manager that the procedure is correct, he needed to take her order, action her order and then serve the next person. However my frustration comes in ... as a manager, if one staff member goes on lunch, then the manager should in fact allocate two staff members to be on duty at the front counter. If I was the cashier, I would have captured the next order, so that whilst that order is being prepared, I would have attended to the icecream order myself. However he took his own time in preparing the icecreams and then only a whole 5 minutes later, attended to me afterwards. When I addressed him regarding not having sufficient time and he could have at least captured the next order as do other Steers stores do .. he just looked at me, took the order and turned away. I asked him if he heard what I said, he then ignored me. again. I was really angry. I can understand that not all people understand what true customer service actually is. At least if he acknowledged me it would have helped me feel less annoyed. I then reached out to the manager of the store - Alfred who after having explained everything quite loudly - he asks me to explain myself again and then confirms that the staff member did the correct thing. There was no apology !!! I will not be going to this STEERS ever again. Pathetic service. I am not someone to complain often but when I do, it is for a valid reason, I assure you.
