******* and theft at Steers
I am very very disappointed with the service and quality I received from Steers.
On the 26th March 2026 at 15h07 I purchased a Rave Burger meal for R69.90. What I received was completely unacceptable. The burger looked like a kiddies meal, with a tiny patty which was as salty as sea water, one thin slice of unappealing tomato, and only three gherkin slices. It was poorly assembled and honestly looked like something that had been thrown together without any care. One of the saddest things is that I wanted to buy the Phanda Pusha but the cashier said that it was small and suggested that I buy a Rave because it was bigger. The idiot was tricking me. I'm sure they're used to doing that judging by even the way they starred at me while I was eating the garbage they sold to me.
I escalated this issue to head office, expecting professionalism and assistance. Instead, I was contacted by someone claiming to be a manager who displayed no proper phone etiquette. No greeting, no introduction of his name, and no apology. The tone of the call was defensive rather than helpful.
To make matters worse, I was told that I had been charged for a Streers burger whichhe said costs R59.90. It does not make sense because my receipt clearly shows that I paid R69.60. This discrepancy raises serious concerns about billing accuracy and transparency.
This is not my first negative experience with these people. Last year, at the Loop Street branch in Cape Town, we were served old quarter chicken. At the time, I did not report it, but in hindsight, I should have.
Overall, this experience has been extremely disappointing. Customers deserve value for their money, respectful service, and food that meets basic quality standards. Unfortunately, none of these expectations were met.
I will not stop posting the images of that thing until the whole world knows about the garbage you sell to people and your poor customer service.
