Good day, Upon investigation we found that you purchased from Pre Owned Stars Vereeniging. Kindly find their response below.

Good day,  Mr. Shuping’s trade-in vehicle’s price was given as a Subject to View price telephonically, based on the description given by Mr. Shuping before the vehicle was seen by ourselves. The vehicle arrived on the Saturday afternoon and was parked in our yard. At that stage only light body damage was visible. On the Monday morning when the vehicle was started an engine noise was clearly heard. The vehicle were taken directly to our workshops where a bearing noise in the engine was diagnosed. The vehicle were then taken directly to the Hyundai agents for a second opinion. They came to the same conclusion. It was also established that this noise could only be heard when the engine was cold and not when the engine were running hot. This would explain why this noise was not heard on the Saturday afternoon when the client brought the vehicle in. It was estimated that the repair would roughly cost R30 000.00 and Mr.Shuping were informed of this. Because the hole transaction was based on miss-representation of his trade-in vehicle, he was given the option of returning our car and take his trade-in vehicle back or to meet with us in order to reach a mutual agreement on this matter. Mr. Shuping chose neither of the options and instead threatened us with his attorney.  As a result of this we have now also handed the matter over to our attorneys.  Regards,  |
