Not even the decency to make contact

I made a request for all the funds in my unit trust to be deposited into my bank account.

I also needed those funds as a matter of urgency.

I haven't received a statement for a while(the post office is ****), so I didn't know the balance in my account. I wrote these instructions very clearly in my mail as well as my contact number. I waited 2 days without a response until finally phoning Stanlib myself, only to find that my details were \blurry"- they're not. Any normal human being can read the forms. I downloaded the EXACT forms that I sent"

Hello willsyates,

Thank you for bringing this incident to our immediate attention.

It is dismal that we did not contact you immediately when we considered that there was an issue with your repurchase form. Most certainly we will insist that our staff use their initiative in such circumstances going forwards.

It is vital that the repurchase form detail what or how much you intend to take from your account - the e-mail did indicate your intention and on this ground we should have called you to confirm. It is best to put a percentage if one is unsure of the value (which also varies from day-to-day due to market movement).

We know that this has been inconvenient to you and we would like to thank you for your patience in allowing us the time to resolve this according to your wishes.

May we look forward to your reinvesting with us in the near future.

Warm regards
Barbara Egan
