Lack of action for two weeks
My daughter and I had the misfortune of applying to Stanlib have her unit trusts repurchased. Money was urgently needed. We waited nearly 4 days after the initial request was emailed to Instructions on 30th September. Close to 7 days later upon hearing nothing, except getting a completely disingenuous reply that you could not find the account, after an email follow up, I also spoke to a call centre agent.

It turns out that they had not even read the initial email properly and were trying to contact us using the wrong records. The records were changed early in 2014, when I successfully did a repurchase of my other daughters unit trusts.

I was then asked for further specimen signatures and proof of bank accounts details. I faxed these though in under 24 hours on 8th October. Although i asked for confirmation that all was in order we are still waiting.

What is it that is so difficult about doing business properly, Stanlib? I think you are a den of incompetence and low productivity. Next time we invest will be offs**** directly. My daughter has a good mind to close her account with you. Reference number has been supp****.
