I have an investment with Stanlib.I want to split this investment with my wife and opened a new account in her name.I was told that the interest on this account could be paid into my current account as long has my wife has signing powers on the account. This now appears to be untrue.I have tried contacting head office to resolve this without success for more than a week.Nobody bothers to return my calls. Also after the weekend upgrade of the website both my and my wifes accounts show a zero balance. This I am also unable to find out why.I am now at the stage where I am going to remove my money from Stanlib and go somewhere else."Passionate about investing"? Yeah, right!

Hello KBethlehem,
We appreciate your bringing this issue to our attention and we did investigate the matter thoroughly to find the root cause of the problem.
As per our correspondence with you directly, there was a technical error which did not allow the transaction to be finalised and reflect on a statement. We have provided you with system screen visuals which prove that the full investment amount has been placed in your wife's name.
We can assure you that there will be no financial prejudice to your wife's investment and she will be able to draw a valuation statement within the next 48 hours.
Thank you for your patience in allowing us the time to resolve the issue and also ensure that a similar problem will not recur going forwards.
Kind regards
Barbara Egan, on behalf of the STANLIB team
