Your money is not safe with Standard Bank

You still haven't provided me with an update on the R2 fee you charged for this transaction, which I know nothing about. Last month you allowed Vodacom to take my money without my permission and refused to refund the R5 and R2 fees for reversal and stopping the debit. *** is no longer responding to my emails.

While you're at it, please explain why you took yet another R2487 from Vodacom again. Let me guess, you'll request another affidavit and a copy of my ID, right? You'll also charge me R45 + R70 because this specific transaction because it exceeds the maximum amount allowed for me to perform reversal and stop on the app, isn't that correct? I'm willing to bet that I'll encounter difficulties in getting it reversed, as usual, because it is not your fault you were only performing a mandate from Vodacom right?

I will be expecting a call to tell me when you are returning my money including all the bank fees you charged in the past for reversing and stopping the debits.

For the first time since I opened this account, I'm seriously contemplating moving my money to another bank where I can trust that my funds will be protected. Don't be surprised when it eventually happens. Just today, a Standard Bank representative on the phone advised me to demand my money back from Vodacom, including the bank fees. This is the same Vodacom with which I have no contractual agreement whatsoever.

Let me put this one last time. Please be aware that, as I've previously mentioned via email, I will have some free time next week to visit one of your branches. If, at that time, this issue remains unresolved, I will proceed to close this account and transfer all of my funds to an institution that values its customers. In the near future, I will also transferring my other accounts with Standard Bank, this includes the bond account.

I have exercised patience for a very long amount of time, and it is no longer worth it. Why? because this is not a new issue; it occurred back in 2018/2019 involving the same companies, including Vodacom. Hence, I need to secure my funds before Cell C, Telkom, and others (who debited my account without my concern and approval) become involved, as they have in previous years, which I anticipate will happen. I am not willing to complete any further affidavits.
