Wrong information given by Call center

I called last week to inquire as to whether I could change my debit order date without it a) not having double debits going off in one month, and b) not make my account in arrears.
I was told to send a fax to client services that same day so that they can change it for DECEMBER, even my letter states that.
I have just received 2 sms that states a) debit order has changed to the 20 of NOVEMBER and, b) my account will be in arrears.
I am highly disgusted that my request for information was incorrect and that should I have left this I would have had a shock seeing my account in overdraft with that amount, which would have been reversed anyway, having bank charges charged because of this incorrect information, being in arrears with my bond AND having my name tarnished again by Standard Bank for something that I was not IN CONTROL of.
So my attempt at bringing down my bond amount and doing so WITHOUT cause TOO much hassle has CAUSED me MORE worries than necessary. THANK YOU STANDARD BANK HOME LOAN.
