WRONG INFORMATION

I received 5 SMS messages dated 26 Feb, 13 March, 25 March, 07 April, 08 April, each informing me that one of my cheque accounts did not comply to FICA requirements. The SMS dated 13 March was not even my account number. As from the very first SMS I phoned the call centre to verify whether the information is correct. On each and every occasion I was informed that my account was indeed FICA compliant and that I must ignore the SMS's. The messages informed me that I should visit my branch to have my account compliant. On the 8th April I went to the Helderberg branch where I was informed that the account was NOT FICA compliant and that it will be freezed as from 10 April! That left me with ONE day to get all the documents in order. The account in question is a Family Trust account and one of the documents needed was a \Letter of Authority"from the Master of the court. Standard Bank Helderberg (Deon and the manager Karen) was not satisfied with a stamp on the letter and requested me to get a better one. I manage to ask a lawyer from Bloemfontein to get me a new copy. He went out of his way and got a new copy OF THE ORIGINAL. Still Standard bank was not happy. All because wrong info """
