Wrong debit done

I asked for my account to be debited and a wrong debit was done. I called for the dbit order to be corrected and I was told the amount of the settlement is now changed because a day has passed. Someone did not do their job and now I get a to be charged more than what I was suppose to pay even though its few cents.
