Worst home loan bank!!!!

The Standard Bank Home loan department is by far the most *********** I have ever dealt with. My mother and I have gone back and forth with them for over 4 years and no one has been able to assist us meanwhile we are receiving bills every month.

Again, my late father settled his home loan upon his retirement in 2012. He passed on in 2018. We have received letters regarding home loan insurance billing amounting to R30 000. Now recently in December 2023, we recieved another letter stating our last payment had a shortfall of R70, which will be spread out into installments of +R2000?? I don't understand. My mother and I have been sent from pillar to post, each department just tells us they either do not see the account or that the query does not sit at their department. We went to our local branch for assistance and they told us the account had been closed but could not answer what the correspondence we are receiving means??

This is so frustrating as we have been trying to communicate with Standard Bank for almost 4 years to resolve this matter. I have all the documents, bond cancellations, late estate documents and all email correspondence dating back to December 2020.

It feels like an attempt to drum up non-existent debt until a crazy figure and then try to repossess an already paid-up home!!!
