WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER
POOR SERVICE: My wife and I were unfairly listed by Standard Bank at the SAFPS. Upon calling the Standard Bank ***** Dept. I was told to send documents, including one obtained from Home Affairs (Hanis on line letter). I argued that I needed to understand the nature of the listing first before I send any form of documents because I did not want to be sent on a wild goose chase. No one from this dept. up to now seem to know the reason for the listing.
I then again called the ***** dept and was told to go to a branch and they will assist me from there. The trip to the bank yielded no results as the consultants did not know what to do other than request that I send through documents and and a letter from Home Affairs. No one from the ***** Dept to the consultants at the branch, seemed to comprehend what the complaint is all about. Firstly, I need someone to tell me the nature of the "*****" that prompted the listing, then advise me on how this can be rectified.
I even sent an e-mail to the ***** Dept manager, Janet Mafikane at the beginning of the week, not even an e-mail of acknowledgement has been received from her.
I am within my legal rights to get full disclosure of what information/data about me Standard Bank is holding and for what purpose. If such data is not correct, it is a legal obligation on Standard Bank's side to listen to my objections and rectify any information that is not clear or correct. I feel I am not getting any assistance from Standard Bank regarding the matter at hand, and there seem to be no one who really know what need to be done in this regard.
