Will not pay back the money
To whomever is Reading this,
For a number of years (4/5/6 give or take) i have received unrelenting phones calls from standard bank collection department as well as Saya Recoveries, when it was eventually handed over regarding a loan account attached to my name to which i dont ever remember having.
I have never in my life ever even done business with Standard bank, never ever owned any of their accounts and by all means have never taken a loan. the only dealings i have had with them are if i pay someone that owns a standard bank account.
For the same amount of time I mentioned above I have denied ever owning this account and asked for proof of debt. Whenever I request this, Saya disappears for a few months/years only to send me this mail again later requesting I pay. Again, I will say, I will not pay this until it has been proved I owe the money as I do not agree with this. The latest attempt was January of 2018, previous to that i cant remember when last, where i received a personalized email from the recoveries department expressing the urgency of payment to be made (FYI i still dont even know the amount i owe or even what the installment should be) i must just pay.
Upon requesting proof and explaining this sch**** all over again, they disappeared, no response no feedback.
its now march and im starting to receiving please pay Sms's.
i cannot imagine how this has affected my credit rating over the last however many years this has gone on.
i refuse to pay until it can be proved i owe the money. which it cant, unfortunately i must now just sit with a bad credit rating and constant bombardment because they cant prove the debt.
i need recourse, this needs to stop. why should i pay a false account and be subjected to penalties just because a bank says i should.
