Will I ever have a peaceful progress payment claim

Good Day,

In December, 2015 I submitted a progress payment request to the bank, after I called to enquire about the status of this progress payment request, one of the consultants advised that no payment will be made because there was no roof structure certificate from an engineer. Eventually, the bank made a payment of R11257 to the builder with the buidling progress at 58%. In January, the builder received the certificate and I submitted a new claim on 20 January 2016.

I was surprised to receive an sms and an email that \No funds available at this stage more work needs to be done prior to payment"after I had specifically asked that someone from the progress payments department gives me a call. The bank has so far made payments which equates to 25.3% of the building amount to the builder and the progress thus far as per assessor is at 60%.

Almost every claim I have submitted has been a headache where I have to complain to HelloPeter"
