Why is Standard Bank so Behind?

It is sad that when Standard Bank advertises its brand they pride themselves over 150 years of existence and how well they are doing in Africa. What i fail to understand is why are they so behind technologically? It is so shocking that such a big bank does not have immediate payments (pay and clear) i mean in this day and life we need those options. I am annoyed by the fact that you constantly have to do manual reconciliations on your bank balance because there are transactions that this so called giant will notify you about only days after the transaction date. Is it that difficult to develop a system that will reserve funds after purchases like your competitors are doing? So many times i have heard people complaining and i have seen it myself where i suddenly find myself in an overdraft position because my bank balance is not updated regularly. I worked for 3 months for Standard Bank and resigned and i must say one of the things that led me to resign was i was not willing to work for a company that does not want to move with the times, a company that just wants to maximise profit and not reinvest in relevant technology. Look at your competitors and hire the right people.
