Why is Standard Bank passing my information to Sterling Debt Recoveries

I had an amount outstanding on my personal cheque account which was sorted out and paid in full. I was dealing with the attorneys that were handling it and have all documents in order including the paid in full letter. It was settled in January 2016. Why did Standard Bank hand over my files and and documents to Sterling Debt Recoveries in March?????? I have sent proof of the paid in full letter numerous times to them and must have phoned them more than 30 times to tell them that that account no longer exists. But these idiots keep harasing me and send me messages on a daily basis. Are the people working at Sterling Debt Recoveries so thick headed that they cant figure out it is FULLY PAID UP????
