Why do I have to wait ages to get a OTP to access or pay
If it's not one thing it something else. Given up about having to enter credit card details when logging into my online profile. The latest is the length of time I have to wait for them to send a OTP to my cell to actually access - it is utterly ridiculous. Last week after several minutes requested another OTP and received both after minimum 10 minutes. In addition trying to purchase something via example TakeALot and the process they use, again depends on Standard Bank sending a OTP and that doesn't happen - well not within the time I waited. Useless useless useless.

31 Jan 2024, 19:17Again the standard response but no results. Got a call today from the Complaint Resolution Centre & as per usual the consultant doing her job wanted to authenticate me in order to forward the complaint to the digital banking specialists. Such fancy names but really useless. Why waste time doing all that when there are never any results & speaking to the so-called specialists which I have done in the past expect the customer to accept their explanation which if they recorded themself & played it back would then just maybe understand how ridiculous they sound. As I told the caller I received a bunch of sms's with the OTP at 00.50 and 00.51 this morning and I took a snapshot.. These callers want all kinds of personal information but don't provide any proof that they are actually who they say they are and work for the bank. Without going back to my records I got a sms from the bank telling me to follow the link to change my Debit Order details on my insurance & I checked the contact details etc & all were legit & then actually sent a snapshot of the sms & today no feedback despite follow ups so I eventually accepted that it was an inside job. Then they wanted me to download the app on my phone - are they nuts.
