What is up with the ATM's?

It has become a monthly nightmare to pay my credit card via the ATM. I usually pay by cheque or a combination of cheques and cash but trying to find a working ATM has become a joke. I went to the new ATM's at Watercrest on Sunday but the machine was disabled for cheque deposits. I went to Pinecrest today and, out of approx. ten machines, there wasn't a single one I can deposit a cheque into. Seeing as I work the same hours the banks do, how on earth am I supposed to pay my account? Please provide me with the location of a relatively safe place to go to in the evening with a WORKING ATM!
