What is am honoring fee?

Yoh yoh. I called them today, trying to find what an honoring fee is. The guy told me that its a fee for when the banks do their transactions. This happens when your account is in a minus or with no balance. I know they reserve the amount but to take money for that also is daylight *******. I ask him to send me a clause or document stating something about this honoring fee, and he literally said that there isnt such a document. When I asked him to confirm what he just said he just kept. This also says a lot about their customer service and values. I have banked with Discovery Bank for a whole 3 years neven in those 3 years have I paid a fee except my monthly fee for transactions. With Standard Bank I pay my monthly fee and honoring fee totalling to the amount of R500. Please check your pricing guide. I am going back to Discovery Bank. And I will advise customers of Standard Bank of this as well.
