Victim treated like a ********

On Monday 6/6/2016 i recieved a sms from Standard bank that money was deducted from may account 3 times within 2 minutes for the same amount. So I phoned their ***** department. They in turn put me through to the customer services department after what was basically a fruitless waste of time. This person told me they will send me a form to fill out in order to dispute the transaction but it will take a week to resolve. In the mean time my account will be blocked. It was then blocked for a full hour. Now today 9/6/2016 another transaction like this took place and oce again I phoned and this new person told me no it taked 45 work days for the sipute to be resolved and they will block my account and issue a new card which taked 7 work days. SO now I have to suffer without any of my left over money for 2 weeks and the money I lost I was told I "might"get back within 3 months? Furthermore the first person i spoke to never gave me the relevant forms or a reference number. The second person gave me a referenc number and told me he would block my account straight away, 2 hours later the account was still open. Furthermore this person told me that as soon as someone has your bank and card details regarless if it was a once off transaction they can (and seems they will) deduct money from your account and if you do not question it no one else will. Even though standard bank does employ this OTP policy where a code is sent to the cellnumber they have on record via sms to validate such transactions. Now explain how can these other transactions then take place if this OTP policy is still in effect. When I asked this person if he would be happy with a service like this his attitude towards me was almost as if "dont make your problems mine). As per usual when you ask to speak to a manager there is like magic a whole book of excuses your are met with as to why you cannot speak to this person.

Standard Bank has not resolved anything neither has anyone helpful contacted me. All I have recieved is a e mail stating that the fact that money went off my accoung withour authorization from me as the account holder is not the banks problem. So why exactly am I and the millions of other customers paying you a service fee to keep our money safe and you fail so miserably at it. The whole idea of the OTP is to PREVENT this from happening but the person at the bank who mailed me told me that thats untrue. Keep it up Standard Bank you are doing a wonderful job at convincing me and anyone seeing this to move to another bank who wants to help their customers.
