Very bad

I would not recommend Standarbank insurance for your home.

Last year in July 2023 we had a fire in our house. The result was of a fireplace that the previous owner did not install according to Sans code. However the assessor came to see the damages and resulted in them taking down more ceilings than what was damaged. Standard bank refused to pay for any damages and we had to pay for the damages our selfs. The claim was taken further and we waited 6 months for any update on our claim.

July 2024 we had a pipe burst in the roof it has been 2 weeks since standardbank had given any call or whatsoever to see if we are okay and of everything is settled we paid for the damages our selfs again. However we cannot go on like this there is a rotten smell in the cupboards and we can not pay for it our selfs again!

Why do we have building insurance if they do not pay for any damages.?
