Vehicle finance declined

i app**** for a vehicle finance in August through VW and standard bank approved me, but the car i had app**** was very experience and i ended up applying for a cheaper one but i got declined, which i didn't understand the reason for approving an expensive vehicle but declined the cheaper one though both cars were 2020 models, now i app**** again and i still got declined, can someone please provide me with a valid reason why i for declined?
